A biodegradable leather alternative

"Pseudocorium," a sustainable biomaterial crafted from agricultural and tannery waste, offering a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative. The material is biodegradable with zero-waste production, following a regenerative solution to traditional practices. The material was developed with CSIR-CLRI, Chennai. Lifestyle products were developed using the material to test its quality and feasibility, thereby echoing the diminishing connection of the traditional and the novelty, whilst creating a transformative narrative through waste. The project combines research and design, unveiling the curious nature of our relationships with daily objects and nature.
